There is beautiful exotic animal collection in Yalta nowadays. Yalta people can be proud of that fact, that animals living in the Skazka zoo such as Cheetah, slothes and many others are unique in Ukraine. Many animals, which are included into the Worldwide Red Book, live in the Yalta zoo, such as chimpanzee, black (himalayan) bear, otter, Amur and Sumatran tigers, leopards and a cheetah. Yalta zoo's bird collection includes species, which are protected by the international convention like eastern white pelicans and black vulture. Lions, bears and monkeys regularly give birth in the Yalta zoo.
