The Cotswold Wildlife Park in over 160 acres of parkland and beautiful gardens set in the Cotswold countryside on the outskirts of Burford. The park is home to a wonderful collection of wildlife from all over the world including rhinos, lions, zebra, reptiles and the glorious gardens with tropical species that can withstand the extremes of British weather. The park and gardens surround an early 19th century manor house. The gardens are designed using trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants in island borders which help to protect the animals from the English climate. The walled gardens is a mixture of bedding, tropical plants and shrubs along with the tropical plant houses which also act as homes to a variety of birds from the tropics. The animal park is home to a mixture of animals from around the world and some which are native to the British Isles. The park includes a children's farmyard where "kids" are able to stroke some of the animals, bird avairies, small mammel enclosures, reptile house, bats belfry and of course the big animal enclosures for, rhinos, lions and camels.
