Hamamatsu City Zoo has the largest collection of primates among zoos in Japan including the Western Lowland Gorilla and Sumatran orangutan. Another must-see exhibit is the Golden Lion Tamarin, the only one of its kind here in Japan. Besides these, there is also a live interaction corner where you get to mingle with sheep and goats everyday and also rabbits on Sat, Sun and public holidays.
