With over 60 exhibits, both indoor and outdoor, the Maui Ocean Center is a great place to go to see many of the wonders of Hawaii’s ocean. From their Living Reef Exhibit, including organisms from rocky surge zone to the edges of the deep reef, to a hands-on tide pool where you can handle some of Hawaii’s invertebrates. All animals located in the Maui Ocean center are only collected from Hawaiian waters. They Maui Ocean center is dedicated to preserving Hawaii’s culture, and they strive to showcase the language, myths and history of the Hawaiian Islands.
