Woodland Park Zoo exhibits 1,000 animals from tiny insects to Earth's largest land mammal - the African elephant. The zoo spans 92 acres and is famed for creating revolutionary naturalistic exhibits that changed the face of zoos worldwide. The Association of Zoos & Aquariums has honored the zoo with major awards for its Humboldt penguin, Jaguar Cove, Trail of Vines, Northern Trail, Tropical Rain Forest, Elephant Forest and African Savanna exhibits.
