It was opened in 1989 as a memorial facility for the 100 years anniversary since the municipal system did start. Animal’s exhibited, are Japanese ones like Asian Black Bear, Japanes macaques and sika deer. They also have big animals like African elephants, giraffes, and lions. Canadian otter, sheep and puma are gifts from the sister town Victoria in Canada. You can hold rabbits, chicks and guinea pigs .
